My HSer was assigned tons of homework for her honor classes and has not done a bit of it. She goes back to school on Aug 16. Do I push her parcel out the work or let her be? I don't want her end of summer to be all about homework!

Ah, the toughest question in parenting teens: when do I push and when do I back off? Think I'd let another week or two go and see if she takes the initiative to start in on the assignments. Then maybe say something like, " I bet you really needed a break from school. It's been so nice not having homework, hasn't it? Have you thought of a plan for tackling your summer assignments? I'd hate to see your last week or two consumed by homework."
