Here's a neat article about how Staples is helping millions of American school children, who live in poverty, get the supplies they need
. How they are going about this, is what I find interesting. Rather than targeting mom or dad, they are targeting the teen. Or I should say, empowering the teen. Staples has teamed up with a non-profit called "Do Something
", whose main goal is to cultivate community service among teenagers. Understanding the world that most teens live, the companies are using Facebook
to get their message out about collecting school supplies for kids in need. As a parent of teens, my hope is that their campaign truly does inspire teens to stop, reflect, and do something!
