My son has physical challenges and the school did not believe he was up to after school yet, so I ended up hiring a nanny. He seems to like that better than when he was going to a daycare, but I think he would really like to stay with his friends in the after school program. They really love it!
Hello, I operate an In-Home daycare center, and I provide care for afterschoolers, I provide snacks, homework help, scheduled indoor/outdoor activities for children, we have a blast.
We are super lucky to have a Y in our town. The kids take the bus to the Y and can stay there after school till 6 pm. Also, our school district has after school care. I think I live in a town with lots of single parent families and two working parent families. I know not all towns have this many options.
