Your child will have to write well to excel in these, too.

For example, in math your child may be asked to write a story problem. He will need to use clear, understandable, precise language. Or he may have to write down the way to solve an equation. Again, clear writing will be necessary.

In science, your child will probably never do an experiment that does not involve writing. He will need to write about every step, from forming the hypothesis (educated guess) to reaching the conclusion (the result of the experiment).

It’s worth noting that the ability to write for math and science, known as technical writing, is a field in itself. Technical writers are almost always in demand and are paid well for their skill.
