Teens need to know they make a difference. Help your teen get involved in a community service project.
October 16 is World Food Day. This day is designed to remind us about world hunger issues. Your teen can help reduce hunger in his community or in the world.
Teens can collect food to take to a food bank. They can suggest giving food as an organization project. They can volunteer at a soup kitchen. They can donate part of their allowance to an organization that feeds hungry people.
Becoming involved in addressing real-world problems is a great way to boost your teen’s self-esteem. She’ll know she has made a difference in the lives of people she may never meet.
