It may not sound like a symphony. But it will help him experience sound, rhythm, and pitch.
Try some of these:
Blowing across the top of a plastic soda bottle. How does it sound empty? What if you add water?
Covering the back of a comb with waxed paper. Hold it teeth side down and hum against the paper to play a tune. Does he notice the paper moving as he hears the sound? Explain that the shaking produced by sound is called a vibration.
Filling drinking glasses with different levels of water and tapping them with a spoon. With each tap, ask him if he hears a high sound or a low sound. Play a short melody using a few glasses. See if he can copy it. Or ask him to make up his own.
