Find Ways To Help Others Online
Children care about the world around them. They want to do something to help. Using a computer, they can now help more easily.
Under your supervision, your child can use the Internet to gather information on almost any subject. Your child can learn why manatees are in danger or gather facts about homelessness.
Armed with facts, your child can take action. Perhaps your daughter wants to adopt a manatee. There’s an online group that will help her do that. Or she can use a search engine to locate a local homeless shelter. She might even organize a drive at her school to collect warm mittens to distribute to the homeless.
Children become more responsible by tackling an issue that matters to them. Through Internet sites, they can develop citizenship skills that will make our world a better place.
