You must be able to find the answers in your house. Or take your scavenger hunt to the library. Use reference books, the Internet, newspapers or magazines.
Then help your child find the answers. Or, with your whole family, play in teams. See which team can find the answers first.
Ask specific questions that can be answered in a few words. Sample questions might include:
Ÿ What is the President’s full name?
Ÿ What five countries border
Ÿ In the game of tennis, what does “love” mean?
Ÿ What breed of cats has no tail?
Ÿ How many bones does a person have?
Ÿ What colors are in Italy’s flag?
Ÿ What country is referred to as the “Land of the Rising Sun?”
Ÿ What is a “pygmy”?
Ÿ What is Mark Twain’s real name?
