It’s 7 a.m. Your teen is rushing around to find the day’s school supplies. You can help her—and the family—become more organized. Try creating a morning “launch pad” for each family member. Here’s how:
- Pick a backpack, bin or bookshelf for each member to use as her own “launch pad.”
- Get everyone in the habit of stopping at her own “launch pad,” first thing upon getting home. For example, your teen should put in her books, homework assignments and papers. Then she knows where they are when she needs them later.
- After homework is done everything goes back to the “launch pad.” Then it’s there for your teen to grab as she rushes out the door in the morning.
