Once you see how she does with a few decisions, you’ll know how much more freedom you are ready to grant her.
Here are some decisions your child may be ready to make:
- How to use her spare time.
- When to do her homework.
- How to spend her own money, after putting part of it into savings.
- Whether she is ready for an occasional job, such as babysitting or dog walking.
- When she wants to do her chores.
You’ll soon know how your child is doing with her new independence. If she is keeping her curfews, and homework and chores are getting done, your child is ready to make even more decisions for herself.
