why dont headteachers listen to parents points of view.hve tried telling her that my son enjoys stopping in the next day for behaviours done the day before.but she just wont listen.she says its school rules that if the child misbehaves the day before they stay in the day after at break,

I can answer this from a teacher's viewpoint--teachers are required to enforce school rules even if they might choose to do it a different way. From what you say here, that might be the situation this teacher is in. She may be listening to you, but not have a choice for how to handle it.
