Question: Whatever happened to accepted parent involement?

How do I get a teacher to accept I am involved in my childs education and answer my questions in regards to helping him at home that is consistant with they ways they are teaching him at school?

It seems we have to go online for everything these days. If I understand your question, you want to be able to explain the work the same way the teacher is teaching it, correct? Most schools have their own website which is supposed to include information about the teaching programs used, for example math. While we may have a simple way to explain a math problem, the school requres that it be taught a certain way, following a specific program accepted by the board. Odd, but true. Go to your school's website and see if you can find any info on this. If not, maybe try to discuss it with your child's teacher or principal. Good luck.
