Question: anger issues at school

My daughter is seven and in first grade, shes had anger issues since school started , the counsler has been seeing her regularly. Do you have any suggestions on how to get her to control her anger at school she has already been suspended fo throwing a chair. Any advice would help thank you

you need to find the root of the anger. is she bitter about something at home or something that was said or done to her. anger is normal but it needs to channeled in a healthy way which can be hard for a 7 year old. ive been dealing with anger for years and through counseling and both secular & spiritual i've found that bitterness towards bad events in my past played a big role in it. i hope this will help. dean

well have you talked to your daughter about ways she can cope with her anger maybe give her a little prize or something when she controls her anger maybe you could punish her when she misbehaves... that process seemed to work on me and my three other siblings when my mother did that to us! she would ground us from television or anything we loved to do...
