Let's Talk About Homework Hassles

Homework. Amazing how one word can enduce so much stress for parents and kids alike, isn't it?

We get many questions from parents on the topic of homework. How do I get my child to do their homework without tears?  My son won't let me quiz him on his spelling and vocabulary words, what do I do? What's the best way to encourage good study habits? How much should I be involved in my child's homework?

The list of questions is endless. That's  why we have lots of articles about homework on our site. It's also why we decided to do a School Family Twitter give-away this week that is tied to, you guessed it: dealing with homework hassles. Here's how the contest works:

For starters, follow School Family on Twitter.

Then, tweet about the biggest homework challenge in your house. In your tweet, use the hashtag #HomeworkHelp. Every time you tweet about your homework challenge using the #HomeworkHelp hashtag you'll be entered to win spelling software from SpellQuizzer.

For instance:

@schoolfamily My daughter is so forgetful, she forgets her homework at least 1x/week! #HomeworkHelp

@schoolfamily My son thinks that done is good enough when it comes to homework. Would like him to exert more effort. #HomeworkHelp

You get the idea! So you can't lose:  you get a chance to vent to other parents about the homework hassles in your house, and in the process you just might win a cool software package that helps your kids learn their spelling and vocabulary words. We'll be drawing 2 winners at the end of day (4pm EST) on Friday.

Hope you'll jump into the Twitter fun. We are very curious to hear about your biggest homework challenges.  Any questions, don't hesitate to email me: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Let the homework hassles catharsis begin!
