"tovar" - check your spelling ... 'waste' vs. 'waist' ... and after trying to read/re-read your comment, check your grammar as well ... I think you have bigger worries than your kids dress code! Besides, the belt is to eliminate the sagging pants. As a teacher, I HATE seeing a 12 year old child's undergarments ... or worse!
I agree with Jane. I rotate out the off season of clothes. There is a point in the seasons that you have to have both warm and cool clothes out. When my boys get dressed if they dress in something that is going to be too cool or too warm I just remind them of the high temp of the day. We live in Nebraska so the weather actually goes from 45 this morning and it is supposed to be 80 this afternoon. We just change a lot and do more laundry.
I don't really know how to answer this poll. I only buy appropriate clothing for my kids and I switch clothes out of their drawers/closets that are appropriate to the season several times a year, so there's nothing they can possibly choose that would create an issue. My eldest is to the point that she has distinct preferences in clothes but she understands the school dress code and shops for clothes with it in mind. So yeah, I let them make their own choices but I set up an environment where they can't have any trouble making acceptable choices. In 11 yrs + 2 kids I've never had a fight over clothes....don't really understand why this seems to be an issue for families but maybe my kids are just strange.
