My kids wake up at different times in the morning and it really doesn't matter wait time they wake because I homeschool them so it kind of really works out.

Many school systems--includ ing mine--have been trying to change school start times for years (actually decades, sadly). Every time we get close to changing them, and despite the mounting evidence about teen sleep & body clocks, economic and other logistical realities get in the way. That's why I'm now convinced the only solution is a national mandate requiring that all schools have to start at a time the is safe, healthy, and conducive to learning. As a start, I created a petition on the new We the People website, which is promised a response fromthe White House if it gets 5000 signatures by Nov. 2, 2011. If you want to sign and spread the word, go to https://wh.gov/2qJ.
