Applesauce Pork Chops

It doesn't take much effort to enjoy this fresh take on an old favorite. You just bake pork chops, take them out, and add an easy-to-assemble sweet sauce -- yum!

  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 2 teaspoons butter or margarine
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
    2. Sprinkle both sides of pork chops with salt and pepper. Place pork chops in a baking dish. Cover the dish with a lid or aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
    3. Remove from oven and spread apple sauce over the pork chops. In a small bowl, mash the butter and brown sugar with a fork.
    4. Add a little brown sugar mixture on top of each apple sauce covered pork chop. Bake for another 10 minutes.
