1/2 cup of sugar (can substitute 1/2 cup of Splenda)
1 teaspoon vanilla
sugar-free strawberry jam (any jam can be substituted)
2 cups flour
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 F.
Cream margarine and sugar in a bowl. Add egg yolks and vanilla, and mix until fluffy.
Stir in the flour and mix all together. Put flour or your hands (or your child's hands), and roll the dough into small to medium size balls (not too big, not too little)
Put dough balls on baking sheets. Using your thumb (or your child's), press into the top of each dough ball, leaving a thumbprint.
With a spoon, fill each of the indented thumbprints with jam. Bake for 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
