A booster club is an organization of parents established to support an extracurricular program such as band, basketball, or theater. The booster club may be a nonprofit organization or may be affiliated with a school or school district. A booster club is separate from a school’s PTA or PTO, which tend to focus on schoolwide programs and parent involvement.
