The ACT is a college admissions exam that measures a student’s skills in English, math, reading, and science. There is also an optional writing component. Although not quite as well-known as the SAT, the ACT is a standardized test accepted at almost every college and is a good alternative assessment test for some students who do not score well on the SAT.
