Advice from School Family and Our Experts

Lisa @ School Family writes:
Set up a meeting with the teacher and the principal to talk about your concerns and get to the bottom of the situation. Document what your child is telling you, how your child's behavior has been affected and any information you have about the classroom.

Try to get to know how the teacher feels. Before taking it to the Principal, talk to the teacher, ask her how your child behaves in her/his class. If you are friendly with the teacher, she is less inclined to hurt your child. Find out from other parents as to the teachers general behaviour. if you are on friendly terms, the teacher may cooperate with you. If this does not work, think about talking to higher authority
