GoodNCrazy Mom

Carissa Rogers
Carissa is mom to three children — two ‘tween girls and a little boy — and is married to her best friend and husband. She has lived in multiple states and her children have experienced several different schools. She currently lives in a small town in Southern Oregon where fighter jets train overhead. In her former life she was a molecular biologist. In her current life when she isn’t dancing the after-school-shuffle, she writes and consults for several online websites, as well as finds time to experiment with new recipes and pretends to be a photographer. She is an active volunteer in her children’s schools, church and in Scouting. Carissa will share her particular brand of storytelling about the ‘GoodNCrazy’ of parenting and public school education. Contact Carissa by leaving a comment on her SchoolFamily.com blog, or visit her personal blog at GoodNCrazy.com. She’s also on Twitter as @CarissaRogers

That’s right. CEREAL. I am not a morning person. Instead I’ve taught my children the fine art of pouring milk and cereal. And I can’t figure out why they aren’t fond of it? I keep wondering: What kinds... Read more

Why is my little boy so dang forgetful? He is smart, amazing, fun loving, and all about science, engineering, and Rube Goldberg contraptions…but ask him where his library book is, and you’ll get a stare of oblivi... Read more
April Fools’ Day, A Love Story

Apr 05, 2012 - Posted by Carissa Rogers in parenting, Carissa Rogers

April Fools’ Day came and went this year with very little fanfare or pranks in my world. Landing on a Sunday meant it wasn’t very easy to catch a schoolmate, or surprise a teacher with a silly joke on THE joke day... Read more
