For example:
• Draw a face, but leave off one of the eyes. When he figures out what’s missing (help if you need to), encourage him to draw it in.
• Cut out a picture of a car from a magazine, but cut off the wheels before showing it to your child. Help him identify the missing parts. Ask him why the car needs wheels.
• Set out some clothes for him to wear, but skip the shirt or socks. Ask him whether he needs anything else to complete his outfit. Then let him pick out what he needs or do so together.
