Most kids put it off. That means they have work hanging over their heads all weekend. And come Sunday night, there’s probably going to be a blowup when it’s time to get the work done.

Avoid the problem by getting your kids to finish their homework early in the weekend. The work will still be fresh in their minds, so it will probably take less time. If a project takes more time, your children will avoid those last-minute panic rushes.

Offer a small reward if they do their homework before dinner on Friday. Get the family together to play a favorite board game. Push back bedtime. Order pizza. When children get their work done early, the whole family will have a better weekend.
