We know our children are special. But we don’t always know how to tell them.
March 16—“Absolutely Incredible Kid Day”—gives us a great excuse.
This annual celebration asks adults to write a letter to tell a child in their life how important she is.
You might start the letter with a question like, “Do you know what I like about you?” Or say, “I like it when you . . . .”
Just tell your child what makes her incredible to you.
Mail the letter. Put it in a lunch bag. Or read it to your child.
But don’t worry about a response. Don’t press your child to see if she liked what you said.
Focus instead on making this a habit. Find time to write your next letter to your child.
