Old folks aren’t the only people with memory problems. Middle schoolers can be so scattered by all the changes in their lives. They need extra help remembering assignments, chores and other activities.

“Do Lists” and “Do Cards” can help a lot. Suggest your child:

  • Make a list on Sunday night of all the activities and tasks that need to get done for the upcoming week.
  • Check this list each morning to help create a daily “Do List.” Write down all the day’s activities on a 3" x 5" index card.

Your child should keep that day’s “Do Card” handy in a shirt or pants pocket.

As she checks the tasks off the list, she will feel a sense of accomplishment.
